Carolyn serves as the administrative and professional leader of Middle Georgia Regional Service Agency (RESA). She has lived in Bibb County for the past forty-four years graduating from Miller School for Girls, now Central High School. After graduating from high school Carolyn attended Wesleyan College in Macon where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood and Middle Grades Education. At Mercer University, also located in Macon, she earned a Master’s in Education in Interrelated Special Education. At Georgia College and State University Carolyn added certification at the master’s level in Specific Learning Disabilities. She earned her Education Specialist degree at Valdosta State University in Special Education and her leadership certification at the University of Georgia.
Carolyn has dedicated her life to education working with students, parents, and educational staff in the Middle Georgia area. She has thirty-five years of educational experience as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, special education director, collaborative programs coordinator, GLRS director, and RESA director.
